CURE is working hard to offer some relief to our customers that are experiencing hardship from the coronavirus. In accordance with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance Bulletin No. 20-15, and Governor Murphy’s Executive Order No. 123, we are taking the following steps to assist our policyholders who are not able to make payments due to financial hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- We will not cancel your policy for non-payment for 90-day period, beginning either on April 1 or May 1, 2020.
- We will forgive any late fees during this grace period.
- We will not report late payments to credit rating agencies during this time.
- We will allow you to repay the premium that you did not pay during the grace period over the remainder of the policy term or for a period of up to 12 months.
If you choose to opt into the grace period, you will resume making full payments on either July 1, 2020 or August 1, 2020, depending upon whether you chose to opt into the program with your April installment or your May installment.
While we will not cancel your policy for non-payment, this grace period is not a reduction or forgiveness of money due, and we strongly urge you to make timely payments so that you are not billed for the deferred costs owed at the end of the grace period, when those additional costs might make insurance unaffordable to you.
CURE is here for you, so please call us at 800-535-2873, and choose option 3 when prompted, to speak with one of our representatives to discuss billing or make alternative payment arrangements.
We thank you for your patience while we work through these challenging times.
Please remain safe. We are all in this together.
